The Truth About Internet Pornography

Internet pornography has been a widely debated topic ever since it’s arrival on the internet. Twelve percent of all websites online are pornographic, which is approximately 25 million sites. Every single day 266 new porn sites are created and appear on the web. Filtering websites for children and even businesses is an ever growing problem. When over $3,000 is being spent on porn every second, blocking this material can seem almost impossible without an internet blocker. Every second, almost 30,000 internet users are viewing porn and 40 million Americans are regulars to porn sites. With outstanding statistics such as these, an internet content filter is a necessity if you have children. With 25% of all search engine requests being pornographically related and two and a half billion pornographic emails sent per day, having some type internet blocking software to block porn sites is key. Over one-third of internet users have experienced unwanted exposure to pornography. Misdirected links, emails, spam and pop up ads all present unwanted pornography unless you have an internet content filter. Porn websites make unbelievable amounts of money because not enough people take the time to block porn sites. It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort, but it is necessary to filter websites. I cannot reiterate enough how important internet blocking software is for work, home and personal use. With all of the pornography that is out there today, being thrown in your face, why not take preventative measures? Prohibiting the obstruction of your internet with porn sites is not hopeless. When one out of every ten websites contains pornographic materials, filtering websites is not only something you should want to do, but something you need to do.
