Protect Your Children – Block Porn Sites

I’m not going to sit here and tell you that pornography is the work of the devil and that every pornographic website should be removed from the internet. If you are over the age of 18, then it’s legally up to you if you want to view it. I have simply provided the statistics to show how overwhelming internet pornography can be. When it comes to your children, they should not be viewing pornographic material and it’s up to you to block porn sites. Thirty five percent of all internet downloads are porn and these could be downloaded by your children. Internet content filtering and is most important thing a parent can do for their children who are online. Website blockers and tools used to filter websites are vital. Nowadays, even the youngest children are taught to use technology like the internet at very early ages. Tech savvy kids are clicking away and internet blocker can halt inappropriate sites. If your kids are like mine, they will click on anything! The average age at which a child first sees pornography online is a mere 11 years old. In my opinion, that is way too young! One in five children, ages ten to 17, have received some type of sexual solicitation over the internet. If you feel comfortable with this, website filtering may not of interest, but the simple goal to block porn sites from non-adults is becoming essential. Many school computers have internet blocking software and internet content filtering, but what about your home computer? Seventy five percent of sexual advances on a child happen to them on their home computers. At least one in four children are exposed to unwanted sexual material. How can we look away from these alarming facts? If you have children and they are on the internet without supervision, you should be blocking these pornographic sites. It shouldn’t even be something that you have to think about.
